The Arkansas Civic Education Program

The Arkansas Civic Education Program is the League’s new online and in-person training and certification program. The ACE Program is open to all municipal officials and personnel in Arkansas and includes four levels of certification. Pursuing certification is optional, and all members are welcome and encouraged to participate in trainings. Participants in the League’s former certification program will maintain their current credits if they choose. Click here to download the ACE Program flyer.

The ACE Hub

The online training is housed in the ACE Hub, a learning management system that is accessible at any time. Currently, in-person training will be offered at conventions and conferences. Select in-person trainings will be livestreamed through the ACE Hub for an additional delivery option.

How It Works

Online training is registered, purchased and recorded in the ACE Hub. In-person training is registered and recorded in the ACE Hub via an assigned QR code.

The ACE Hub is where you’ll track certification credits, access educational materials and more. The ACE Hub will also be utilized by in-person learners to track attendance at moderated, in-person sessions. Registration in the ACE Hub is required for all training and certification program participants.

Certification Levels

There are four levels of certification in the ACE Program. Level 1 is offered through the ACE Hub for a $50 fee. ACE Hub classes in Levels 2-4 are offered at $20 per class.

In-person training provided at conventions and conferences is included in the registration fee for those meetings.

Level 1: Civilpedia-Certified Provides the most fundamental and baseline information needed to understand municipal government in Arkansas. Level 1 requires 25 credits.

Level 2: ACE-Certified Requires 50 credits of training.

Level 3: ACE-Advanced Requires 75 credits of training.

Level 4: ACE Master Requires 100 credits of training.

Participants are not required to pursue certification by attending training. Municipal officials and personnel certified under our former certification program will carry over their credits into the ACE Program.

Credits toward future level certification may be accrued without first receiving previous level certification. Accrued credits will be applied after previous level certification is completed.
