RESOURCES & EDUCATION
Education & Training Programs
From the basics of local governance to finance, budgeting and human resources, education is at the core of the Arkansas Municipal League’s programming.
The Arkansas Civic Education Program, the League’s new online and in-person training and certification program, made its debut at the 2024 Winter Conference with a robust catalog of more than 150 classes that are available on-demand to League members.
Publications & Resources
The League offers a large library of free publications and other resources, including the annual Arkansas Municipal Bulletin, The Civilpedia Handbook: A Guide to Municipal Government in Arkansas and more. And for League members, the AML Communities Listserv is the perfect way to stay current on municipal issues. Fans of the quarterly City & Town magazine and related podcasts can now find that content and more on the new City & Town website.
Meetings & Events
In addition to regular meetings of the executive committee, advisory councils and boards, the League hosts two large events—Winter Conference and the Annual Convention—as well as an annual planning meeting. Additionally, the League launched a series of Legislative Roundtables in late 2024 and a Regional Certification Training program in 2025.
