ADVISORY COUNCILS, BOARDS & TRUSTS
The purpose of League advisory councils is to provide policy input and ongoing discussion of matters of municipal concern. To this end, advisory councils meet quarterly to make recommendations to the executive committee. Advisory council chairs are ex-officio attendees to executive committee meetings, which are also held quarterly unless in the opinion of the president a “called” meeting is warranted. Member officials are given the opportunity to sign up for advisory council service at the closing business session of each annual convention of the League.
